Why...
Why do the have to tell this story again... It's just cashing in on Christmas, with the mainstream film industry producing nothing but tripe they feel people now more than ever need the story of the Nativity.
People now more than ever should stop believing in god, stop thinking that justice exists beyond our lifetime, that bad people will get theres and good people will be rewarded. NO YOU WONT, You will die and decompose in the ground and thats the end of you, other than the legacy you leave your friends left on earth.
So do good things because you want to and you know it makes sense and punish the evil NOW here on earth whilst they can be punished. Telling people they will be rewarded in heaven if they do as they are told now is just a waste of life, and was only made to control the masses anyway.
